|This memoQ presentation and workshop is an introduction to memoQ and also an overview of the tool's main functionalities. It is mainly targeted at freelance translators or companies' internal translators who have no or little experience with memoQ, but existing users will probably also learn something from some of the tricks and tips introduced, as the last 30 minutes will be spent with questions and answers. Prior experience with translation tools is not required, but a basic understanding of IT and Microsoft Word and Excel is. |
During the workshop, you will learn how to translate Microsoft Office documents in memoQ, how to align documents on the fly, and how to use LiveDocs corpora, translation memories, term bases and Muses, as well as how to configure the translation environment of the tool to best fit your needs and how to work with customers and external reviewers without using a translation tool or another tool.
If you can bring a laptop with you, please do so, and install a demo version of memoQ translator pro 6.2 from http://www.kilgray.com/downloads.
Underviser: István Lengyel is the chief executive officer of Kilgray. He has a degree in economics and a postgraduate degree in translation and interpreting.
